Sydney is Australia's most well known and easily reached city.  The iconic Sydney Opera House is worth a visit.  Those looking for more of an adventure should climb the Sydney Harbour Bridge.  Those looking for delicious eats have no lack of options.  Sample street food on Spice Alley or head to Barangaroo to have your choice of high end restaurants.  

Australia has many beautiful beaches near Sydney.  The world famous Bondi Beach is only 8 kilometers from downtown Sydney.  Bondi beach is most well known for surfing.  Make sure to give it a try.  For a quieter surf head to a beach on the Sydney Harbour.  

Since the trip to Australia is longer than most, it is best to explore a few different places if you are able to extend your stay.  Visitors can drive to the foodie haven and wine region of Hunter Valley.  Museum lovers should drive to the capital Canberra.  Nature enthusiasts should head to the Blue Mountains National Park.  Visitors with even more time could fly to Cairns to see the Great Barrier Reef or to the Great Ocean Road to see the 12 Apostles.
